Description

It coincides with the isthmus and the tiny peninsula that shape Point Carreirón, in the south of the Arousa Island. We depart from the local information office to head for the viewpoints of Espiño and Point Revello.

Then we face south, Punta da Cruz, to reach one of the most charming and quiet coves of the area, Margaritas beach. Southwards, we get to Point Lontreira, then the beach with the same name, from where we can turn to Point Xastellas.

The route ends in Salinas Beach, a great sandy beach which encircles a good part of the Arousa Island. We will be back in the starting point.

The length of the route depends on our choice of the itineraries and shortcuts taken, but it varies between 1 hour and 2 hours and a half.

It is worth taking the complete itinerary, stopping by the point that most interests us. On this route we might be able to see "pilros" (sandpipers), very small migratory birds that fly and run on muddy and sandy grounds, so common in the area.
