Fishing Port and Market of Vilaxoan

Description

Its economy is mainly based on fish and seafood canning plants, a cod drying plant, mussel farms, and fishing. The boats that are moored at this port range from small dinghies to large boats, with different equipment for farming tasks on the rafts (bateas).

Different facilities are located in this port area: fuel pump, market, offices, apartments, the mussel producers’ association headquarters, boat mooring dock belonging to the Xunta de Galicia (Galician regional government), marine environmental management centre, social centre, mollusc processing plant, and ramps.
